cyclo-tourist tip for the lakes district Chile
when doing the route 5 south or north,
you should definitely try to go around lake Llanquihue,
it's well worth it for getting actual scenery, versus the boring=ness of the highway.
consider 3 days if you are moderately quick, more if you want to take it easy. There are paved and dirt alternatives, depending on your bicycle.
