I went for lunch at Domino today. Had two very hearty hot dogs, potentially the yummiest in Chile, but I will definitely not try to compare to the great land of wieners...
Montreal, Chicago, New York, every last one of the Midwestern medium sized cities, and San Francisco: all convinced they invented the Austrian foodstuff.
Anyway, my point was another. I got together with Daniel Dorna, to plan our trip south to buy us some back 40. Land, the final frontier, or at least, the great dream of the hunter-gatherer that I have turned into (after watching 4 straight episodes of Lost...then waking up to watch 1 more before work).
Some land with trees, by a crick, hmm. Dream on. The piece we are going to see is 1 hectare, for 6500 U$.
Friday we head out to el Tambo. I was just talking to David D about the driving instructions to get there.. take the Panamerican highway south, past Pelequen, off on El Tambo/ La Paloma. Then past the cops and until a sign that says Parcela 161. up a track and to a big white house.
BBQ will be waiting.
