Intelligence Everywhere

last night I went for drinks to a little club by the river. Santiago society, not much on a world stardard, yet most chileans consider it more sophisticated than the average for this continent. Simple life, not really. If you are rich in Chile, and wealth has run in your family, you tend to have travelled more than a lot, participated in the "in" scene abroad, and generally think quite highly of yourself. There are oh so many levels to social status here (and everywhere).

I remember how surprised I was when in London and I saw that the depths between social levels and how unsoundable they are. I had an image from my Canadian upbringing of greater social mobility in anglosaxon civilizations. Not the case.

Anyway, there are so many layers in the equation that one can always find the exact point and group you are looking for. Niche. Like animals in the jungle .
