volta di festa

Back from vacations.. hard life..
southern Chile, the hot dry puelche winds, with temperatures of 37 degrees, a sweaty lunch and a whole day spent lounging riverside (Trancura, soon to be published).
More days cruising down the rapids, including spills and scrapes (next time, will wear that wetsuit even if it´s a bit tight).

Argentina was fab, the best thing was la Fiesta del Puestero. An incredible display of Patagonian horsebreaking, lassoing, wild cattle driving, and bucking calfs (calves?)
I had gone out that night, ending the night in the pozones hot springs at 6:30 am, only to be driving out with my hungover friends at 7:30am. No sleep for the weary. Upon arrival in Junin de los Andes, the only thing my neurons were demanding was a bit of green grass in the shade but the spectacle was so enthralling...

Anyway... lots more.
After our whips and taleros were retained by the Chilean National Agriculture Service (good job lads), I returned two days later, picking them up at the border (uncured leather cannot enter Chile, that´s why they were taken from us). I drove to San Martin de los Andes, charming little town by the lake. Lots of bike riding, and relaxing. Then to Villa La Angostura, a more stylish or chic town based on little lodges nestled in deep forests lakeside. Very charming.

Too few days and back to work.

Here I am....
